A second paiR of ears.
A consultation is not a lesson. It is a focused diagnosis: I listen to a recording of your playing, find the one or two things that matter most, and show you how to practise them.
Who it is for
- Students from Grade 6 to diploma who feel stuck
- Adults returning to the piano
- Exam and competition candidates who want a second opinion
- Parents of serious young musicians
- Teachers who want a fresh ear on a student, or on their own playing
How it works
- Send one or two videos (15 minutes in total at most) and a short questionnaire.
- I listen carefully and prepare before we meet.
- We talk for 30–45 minutes on Zoom.
- If you choose, I send a written summary of your practice priorities.

A clear picture of what is holding your playing back — and what to listen fo next.

If you go on to book a coaching package within 30 days, your consultation fee is credited towards it.
Coaching
For players with one clear goal — an exam, a recital, a plateau — coaching continues the work over several sessions, in person in Singapore or on Zoom. Full coaching details are coming soon; until then, ask me directly.

QueStions
What level do I need to be?
Consultations are most useful from about Grade 5 upwards. Beginners are better served by regular lessons on my teaching site, learnpianolessonsingapore.com.
Does my recording need to be professional?
No. A phone on a stand, with the piano and your hands clearly heard and seen, is enough.
Which language?
English or Mandarin.
I live outside Singapore.
Consultations run on Zoom, so you can join from anywhere; we will find a time that suits both time zones.
What happens afterwards?
Many people simply practise with their new priorities. Others continue with a coaching package.
